We've been lucky to have Antte and Jaako from Finland renting the black van. They are great guys and ripping skiers. Yesterday, they toured around Deseret Peak, a great zone outside of the central Wasatch. Ahh, peace and quiet.

Decided to try something new and ride south from Guardsman to Provo on the Great Western and Ridge 157 Trails. Expect mind blowing scenery, tough riding, and long sections of hike-a-bike. All in all, a great day in the mountains...on a bike.

New CNG Station in Pinedale, Wyoming

8/15/2013

Wyoming's CNG infrastructure just got better with the recent opening of a public filling station in Pinedale, Wyoming (10095 Highway 191, Pinedale, Wyoming 82941). Now trips from our base in Salt Lake City to the popular destinations Yellowstone National Park, the Tetons, and Wind River Range and back are possible using compressed natural gas and zero gasoline. Get out there and climb, bike, ski, and explore - even more affordably!

The Crest from Park City

Starting in Park City revealed the other side of my go to summer ride. The terrible terrier got lost cutting switchbacks, but fortunately found her way back to the trail, which put a smile on my face. She's a killer riding partner.

Is the Wasatch Crest Trail the most epic ride in northern Utah?

We think so! Shad and crew at Big Rack Shuttle makes it easy and affordable to get a lap in before work on a weekday. Neal and Tracy did just that this morning. If mountain biking is your thing, be sure to ride the Wasatch Crest on your next visit.

After riding in Jeremy Ranch with friends, we decided to take the scenic way home through East Canyon and check out the Mormon Pioneer Trail from Big Mountain Pass. Neal and Alex enjoyed the twisty downhill. Check it out for yourself.

Lucy and Drew recently took a trip to California in our van. They liked it so much, they're thinking of buying a CNG van! Here's Lucy's trip report: http://lucydrewblog4u.blogspot.com/2013/06/camping-is-china-camp-in-van.html

Singletrack Galore!

The Basecamper Vans crew (Matt, Abbey, Blue Dog) took the afternoon off and drove up to Park City in the black van to ride forested singletrack galore at Parley's Summit. Short Stack, Short Ribs, and The Road to WOS don't disappoint! I fired up Google Tracks and hope to post on MTBproject.com later today. If you need a break from the valley heat, consider checking out this sweet trail.
