Rode the North Canyon Trail in Bountiful this afternoon with the Terrible Terrier. Great views of the Salty Lake and a fast single track descent made for a fun outing. I prefer to ascend this trail rather than Mueller Park which is giggles for the first half but loose baseball sizes scree wrangling or the second half. Where the trails meet, there are a few superb campsites. Get after it!
Matt took the red Chevy and the VBD's (very bad dogs) up to Park City and rode the Flying Dog trail, which is EPIC! Blue Dog pooped out after the big climb and hitched a ride back to the vehicle in Matt's backpack. Alas, there's no photo - Matt and the Flying Blue Dog were too busy riding with a big smile : ) Drove up to Park City to do some recon, got hit with some scattered showers but managed to ride the Round Valley Loop with the Basecamper terrier. Took a few photos of the van in the low thunderstorm light, and Abbey managed to photobomb most of them. Check out the new app from MTB Project for ideas on exciting trails to ride. Fire up your smartphone and make sure to track your favorite trails and contribute to the site. Also, stop by Jans Mountain Outfitters in Park City for a $5 Summit County trail map. |
